As I said, I deleted the account, but MS apparently keeps it active for 30 days in case you change your mind. So maybe that's part of the problem, I don't know. From reading other threads on this issue, I can tell you that I don't want to block universal notifications, or "toast notifications" or whatever the heck they're called; I just want this specific notification to disappear.
I just want to get this done and not muck around for days trying to fix this stupid issue. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. There have been many of us who has done this yet no response and there are many posts here in the Forum about the same problem with no official response from Microsoft and I do not expect one as the Forum is mainly users and independent advisors and forum moderators helping users.
The only way this problem will be fixed is through an update to our computers. Microsoft knows about this problem and hopefully they are trying to solve it along with other problems that still need to be fixed.
